Dr. Rigos earned his doctoral degree in the University of Kingston UK, in 2003. His thesis focused on the pharmacokinetics of registered antibacterials in Mediterranean farmed finfish species. He finished his master’s degrees in 1996 completing the Aquaculture MSc program with speciliazation in Fish Pathology in the University of Guelph, Canada. He holds an upgrading to honours bachelor’s degree in Fish Biology from the University of Guelph, Canada. He has also graduated from the Technological Educational Institute of Ichthyology, Greece.
Dr. Rigos has twenty years of experience in aquaculture areas including fish pharmacology and various aspects of pathology. He has participated in EU projects as Institute leader and is coordinating national projects. Forty two publications in peer-reviewed journals are included in his scientific achievements.
