Myrto earned her master’s degree in Marine biology from the Biology Department of the University of Crete in 2008 and her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2006.

Research Interests
Pyrounaki’s research interests are concerned with the fisheries acoustics, the application of spatial modelling techniques (e.g., geostatistics, generalized additive models) and the distribution of small pelagic fish in relation to environmental parameters.
