The ocean and waters are the life-support system sustaining our existence, our economy and the health of our Blue Planet. Unprecedented human-made pressures are threatening our ocean, seas, coasts, rivers and lakes, and their ecosystems. The mission is to know, restore, protect and build a relationship with our ocean and waters that works for us and for the planet. Together, let’s make our ocean and waters blue again!

Partly inspired by the Apollo 11 mission to put a man on the moon, the European research and innovation missions aim to deliver solutions to some of the greatest challenges facing our world.
