Dr. Henryās PhD studies at the Department of Zoology of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, from January 1996, funded by a āTraining and Mobility of Researchersā European Grant, led to the discovery of 3 novel antibacterial peptides in rainbow trout. She presented her PhD thesis and obtained her doctoral degree in 2000. She completed her MSc degree in Marine Biosciences at the University of Marseille-Luminy II (France) in 1995 with specialization in Fish Immunology at the National Centre of Veterinary and Food Studies (CNEVA, Brest, France). She holds an honours bachelor’s degree in Oceanography from the University of Brest, France.
Dr. Henry has seventeen years of experience in aquaculture areas and more particularly in the immunology of various fish and shellfish species, microbiology, molecular biology and biochemistry. She has participated in many EU and national projects studying the effect of nutrition or stress on the fish immune system. She is coordinating part of a national project and is responsible for 5 projects with the private industry. She has nine publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has entered ten novel DNA and/or protein sequences in UniProt and EMBL databases.
