Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR)
From June 2003 up to date, he is responsible for the manned submersible “THETIS” and he is a ROV operator and maintainer. Also he is responsible for the scientific diving team at Anavissos HCMR facilities.

Research and Technical Projects 1. July 2003 as a ROV pilot in the cooperation with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities (EAA) in the sea region of Kastelorizo island, four ancient wrecks were located.
2. October 2003. as S/M THETIS chief pilot in the cooperation with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities, Canadian Archaeological Institute in Athens (CAIA) in the sea region of Athos peninsula (ATHOS PROJECT). The project was contacted by Prof Shelley Wachsmann (Meadows Associate Prof of Biblical Archaeology Inst. of Nautical Archaeology) from USA. One ancient wreck was located.
3. April 2004. as S/M THETIS chief pilot in the cooperation for localization ancient wrecks with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities in the sea region of islands Samos and Chios. Two ancient wrecks were located and mapped.
4. April 2004 as S/M THETIS chief pilot in the cooperation with HCMR and IFREMER in the ASSEM project in the sea region of the Corinthiakos Golf.
5. June 2004. Second phase of “Athos” project. Cooperation with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities and Canadian Archaeological Institute in Athens. As S/M THETIS chief pilot and part of team ROV ACHILLES. The project was contacted by the Prof. Shelley Wachsmann.
6. September 2004. As part of MAX ROVER team for localization and mapping of the crashed Hellenic Army’s CHINOOK helicopter, in the sea area of ATHOS peninsula. The depth of the wreck was 877m.
7. October 2004. As part of MAX ROVER team recovery of the crashed Hellenic Army’s CHINOOK helicopter. The 95% of helicopter recovered and delivered to the Hellenic Army. The project was cooperation between the Ministry of Development and Ministry of Defence. The HCMR was responsible for all site operations (localization, mapping, underwater operations and consulting for the recovery )
8. November 2004.As part of team ROV ACHILLES in the cooperation with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities for a preliminary research in the sea region of Salamis Island.
9. December 2004. As part of team ROV ACHILLES in the cooperation with the Hellenic Navy for localization and recovery the transducers of a helicopter’s (SEA HAWK) missed Variable Depth Sonar in golf of Mirtoo sea.
10. March 2005. : As S/M THETIS chief pilot in the cooperation with the Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities in Kithnos island. The deepest ancient wreck in the Aegean Sea was located in 497m depth. The wreck is from 4th century BC. Some amphoras were recovered.
11. April 2005: As S/M THETIS chief pilot in HCMR oceanographic’s institution project named NAUTILUS. The purpose of this project was filming and mapping of interesting areas in central and south AEGEAN (mapping of volcano Columbo near to Santorini inland)
12. June 2005: Third phase of “Athos” project in a sea region of Evia Island. In cooperation with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities and Canadian Archaeological Institute in Athens. As S/M THETIS chief pilot and part of team ROV ACHILLES. The project was contacted by the Prof. Shelley Wachsmann.
13. November 2005 as part of MAX ROVER team recovery of the crashed Hellenic Army’s CHINOOK helicopter (third phase).
14. April 2006 As S/M THETIS chief pilot and part of team ROV ACHILLES in the cooperation of HCMR with National sea-park of Zakynthos Island for Turtle (Caretta-caretta) Protection.
15. May 2006 as part of team ROV ACHILLES in ‘HERMES’ project in south Crete.
16. June 2006 as S/M THETIS chief pilot and part of team ROV ACHILLES in the cooperation of HCMR with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in ‘PHAEDRA’ project near Milos and Santorini Islands.
17. Julie 2006 As S/M THETIS chief pilot and part of team ROV ACHILLES in the cooperation of HCMR with Ephorate of Underwater Antiquities and Canadian Archaeological Institute in Athens in ‘MAGNESIA’ project near to Skiathos island and north Evia island (sequence of ATHOS program phase III).
18. November 2006 as HCMR diver to research the location of fresh water riverside into the sea near to the village named STUPA in south Peloponnesus.
19. December 2006 as S/M THETIS chief pilot and part of ROV ACHILLES team in HCMR’s oceanographic institution project named ‘NAUTILUS 2006’ in Aegean sea.
20. February 2007 as HCMR diver for sea floor sampling in Antikira area for “Pechiney 06” project.
21. April 2007 as part of MAX ROVER team and diver’s team in Santorini Island to survey the Sea Diamond shipwreck area and search and recover the VDR box (Voyage Data Recorder).
22. May 2007 as part of the MAX ROVER team and HCMR diver’s team in Santorini Island to survey the Sea Diamond shipwreck area (second phase).
