Dr. Fountoulaki earned her doctoral degree in the University of Athens, in 2003. Her thesis focused on the effects of different protein/energy ratios and essential fatty acids on growth physiology and metabolism of sea bream fingerlings (Sparus aurata). She finished her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Bologna, Italy.
Dr. Fountoulaki has twenty years of experience in fish nutrition area. She has participated in EU projects as task leader and as coordinator in national projects. Twenty two publications in peer-reviewed journals are included in her scientific achievements as well as fifty five presentations in national and international congresses.
