Mrs Eleni Dafnomili is a research assistant in the Chemistry Laboratory of the Institute of Marine Biology and Genetics (IMBG) of HCMR. She assumed her duties in 2003.
Her work includes sampling of seawater and sediment for ecological studies, biochemical analyses of seawater and sediment for plant pigments and organic carbon, nutrients analysis, total carbon and nitrogen analysis on elemental analyzer (CHN). She is also involved in data representation and training of students.

She has previously worked as a research assistant in the Chemistry lab. of the Department of Management of Marine Environment and Technology of IMBC.
From 1988 to 1990 she was employed by the University of Crete, Ecology lab, on a project concerning the fresh water ecology and pollution. Her work there included sampling fresh water for ecology and pollution studies, sorting biological material, identification of fresh water animals, biomass measurements and representation of data.
Mrs Dafnomili received her Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 1988 from the University of Crete.
