As part of its ongoing initiative Connecting Greece with the Future, Navarino has equipped the research vessel R/V AEGEO of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) with a Starlink satellite internet system.

In late June, Akis Temperidis – leader of The World Offroad expedition, and Navarino’s Green Ambassador – visited the port of Piraeus to hand over the advanced communication system to Captain Manolis Michelidakis, commander of the R/V AEGEO. The Starlink unit was installed by a certified Navarino technician and is now fully operational onboard. It comes with a complimentary subscription to the Starlink Roam service, valid for a period of 36 to 48 months.
