The HCMR is represented and participating in International Organisations, Committees and Unions (IOC/UNESCO, CIESM, EMAPS/ESF, EAZA, EUAC, EUROGOOS, ICCAT, STECF), and networks (COST, ERA-NET, MedCLIVAR), in European research committees within the framework of international programmes, as well as, in national Committees and Councils.

The HCMR has signed programmed agreements, MOU, with almost all the countries near the Euxine, with US Universities (MIT, Rhode Island, Woodshole Oceanographic Institution) and with Iran.

The researchers of HCMR in order to raise social awareness and spread information as far as protection of the marine ecosystem is concerned, participate in radio and TV open discussions; contribute to the publication of articles, participate in exhibitions and open days.

On the other hand, conferences, workshops and summer schools give on the other hand the opportunity to develop and deepen knowledge within the research community.
